W11 Spring, ABSTRACT MIXED MEDIA – TAKING IT FROM “NOW WHAT?” TO THE FINISHED PIECE
Instructor: Julie Yontz Rupp
The question asked so many times is, “Now What?” In this workshop, we will overcome the feeling of, “I may ruin it,” to letting go and taking risks to know when and how to finish their painting. Remembering you don’t grow as an artist if you don’t take risks. We will do evaluations with a list of questions to consider when finishing a painting. Also, we are going to redeem paintings you thought were a total loss allowing you to see something through new eyes that you may not have noticed before. Students are encouraged to bring several starts & failed paintings to the workshop so we can explore new techniques and solutions. Each day will include critiques, demos, and individual instruction.
