POP GOES ART! (Ages 5-8)
INSTRUCTOR: Debi Peters
Warhol-like colorful portraits, soup can and advertising paintings, Blue Dogs, Roy Lichtenstein – Onomatopoeia art (huh? It’s the Bam! Pop! Wham words!), art from Keith Haring and more! Students will learn about the Pop Art Movement started in the 1950’s, that is based on simple, bold images of everyday items. We will learn a lot about color and form, and a little about each artist. Then the fun begins, our very own versions of Pop Art! Ok, Mom and Dad, we know you’ll want to join this workshop, sorry it is only for the kiddos!
