W.6 Julie Yontz Rupp: EXPERIMENTAL MIXED MEDIA: Good Starts to Great Finishes (all levels)
Many artists know how to start a painting but don’t know where to go with their starts. In this workshop, we will overcome the feeling of I may ruin it to letting go and taking risks to know when and how to finish their painting. Remembering you don’t grow as an artist if you don’t take risks. We will do evaluations with a list of questions to consider when finishing a painting.
Also, we are going to redeem paintings you thought were a total loss allowing you to see something you may not have noticed before. Each student is encouraged to bring several starts and failed paintings to the workshop, so we can explore exciting new techniques and solutions. Every day will include critiques, demos, and individual instruction.
