Join us as we create amazing keepsake pop-up box cards for Spring and Mother’s Day. These cards lay flat for mailing but when opened they display a surprising scene in 3D. Learn the basics of creating your very own 3D pop-up cards starting with color theory and composition leading up to intermediate paper sculpting techniques.
In this workshop, we will cover the basics of distressing, embossing, watercolor washing and negative coloring techniques allowing you to create custom backgrounds and designs. Before you know it, you will be designing amazing keepsake pop-up cards for family and friends.

TIME: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
TUITION: $35 members / $60 nonmembers
plus a $15 materials and packet fee payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop.
SPECIAL NOTE: The instructor will have a supply of glue (see supply list ) available for a reduced cost of $5, compared to buying a supply online

Paper Scissors (Standard & Detail types)
Mcgill Paper Blossom Tool Kit, Ball Tools, 4-Pack
X-Acto knife or similar cutting blade
Kraft brown paper or a Non-Stick Sheet Teflon Mat Craft Sheet
Art Glitter Adhesive (available at www.artglitter.com or I will have this adhesive available in the class at a lower cost)
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad: pink, yellow, green and blue
Mini Ink Blending Tool-1 Round
Foam Mat, an old mouse pad works well. Otherwise, craft foam sheets are sufficient.
Mini Spray bottle for water
Double Sided Adhesive Tape
Scotch (4013) 1/2-Inch Foam Mounting Tape
Bone Folder for paper
(Optional) Archival Ink stamp pads: Spring Colors – black, green, red, Pink, purple, blue and yellow.
Each student will be provided with two project packets complete with all the paper supplies required for this workshop. If you wish to bring your own card stock or crafting paper, please feel free. If there is time within the workshop, I will offer additional ideas and techniques to try.
